As Paul Knopf Bigger continues to grow, our opportunities to give back to our communities do as well. We recognize the importance of our relationship to our local communities and provide our attorneys, staff, and their families with opportunities to work together to benefit charitable organizations in our hometowns. In addition to Paul Knopf Bigger’s philanthropic efforts with Sterling Park Elementary, we are humbled to have had the possibility to be involved with our local Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s annual Fall Festival. The Mission currently houses 116 residents, with 68 of them children under 15 years old. During this event, the kids and their parents were able to dress up in costumes and participate in fun, fall-themed activities. With many games and crafts for the residents to participate, our booth provided temporary tattoos, stickers, and candy treats. We also held a ‘Guess How Many Candies in the Jar’ game for the kids. The jar held 1,394 M&M’s, to be exact, and the closest guess took home a Target gift card (and 1,394 M&M’s to enjoy 😊).
In addition to having fun with the families, we were fortunate to meet the president of OURM, Freddy Clayton (who, ironically, began his legal career with me and shared fond memories of our time together as colleagues). With that connection, it made our time at OURM a little sweeter and definitely has inspired us to foster that relationship in the future.
During the Holidays, Paul Knopf Bigger strove to create a joyous season for those in need. We are proud to be more than just a source for donations and enjoy our hands-on experiences. Whether it’s with the students at Sterling Park or the residents at OURM, we are looking forward to our next mission of love while fulfilling our responsibility to make a difference and be the change.
